I feel like it’s a string of bad words: “Story Writing Software.” Is it?

I mean the world is moving faster these days? Few of us are still writing with quill pens. We are taking advantage of technology by using computers, both to type and to do research on the Internet. So is story writing software a bad thing? Is it cheating?

Does anyone have any experience with story writing software?

  • Is it useful?
  • Does it waste time?
  • Does it have peculiar ways of losing information?
  • Do you recommend it? Hate it?
  • Do you have a favorite?

Please comment below if you have any thoughts or advice on the subject.

Thank you! And happy writing.

  1. I haven’t figured out how to use it yet, but I downloaded the free Storybook4 software and it looks like it could be useful. You also can have a Scrivener 30 day free trial to see if you like it.

  2. I think they can be usefull regarding time managment and also regarding managing what you already wrote, to see how it all fits and works and looks together.
I do solemly claim tho that no matter how far the technology advances so i can see it, there is still nothing that beats a new notebook and an old loved pen.
